This is a poem I wrote for my poetry collection dedicated to the work of Edward Hopper. The title of the painting is the poem's name sake, "Sun in an Empty Room" (1963). https://www.edwardhopper.net/sun-in-an-empty-room.jsp

I enrolled in a poetry course from January to the end of April of this year. In May, I traveled to Paris as part of an Art and English academic trip. These poems are the fruits of those labors. They are generally arranged oldest to newest.
