This is my first of hopefully many short stories that I want to write about my own fantasy world. This story takes place in the Witchwood, which is an enchanted forest. When the three new recruits of the Hollow Guards face their first night on watch, their commander joins them around the campfire and tells them the legendary story of Varnak Ironfell and Elaren Sylvahr, two beloved traders whose friendship shaped the settlements of Thal'Varnak and Thal'Elaren.
