It's the final day of summer before Connor McKinley's 11th grade year of high school. The outlook on the upcoming school year seems perfect, amazing friends, auditions for the fall musical of Beauty and The Beast, and his childhood crush turned boyfriend: Steve Blade. The last thing he would have expected was to lose his relationship so soon. On the other hand, Kevin Price, accompanied by his best friend Arnold Cunningham, have been forced to switch schools after a bit of destruction occurred at their hands. Kevin, lost at this new school, decides to audition for Beauty and The Beast. He lands a major role, despite it being his first time trying out for anything. Needless to say, the rest of the cast isn't pleased that two outsiders were able to join the school and snatch up two heavily coveted parts. The still heartbroken Connor becomes even more frustrated upon having nearly every scene with the inexperienced Kevin, being forced to teach him everything about the world of theater. It was fate that caused Kevin to pass out at the bus station, before he could request a transfer. It was fate that showed Kevin the truth about his religion. It was fate that introduced Kevin into facing reality, and coming to realize the world didn't center around him. And it was fate that introduced Kevin to people who had changed his life, entirely. For better or worse, he wasn't sure. But, all that he knew now, was that these people, no matter how small they had been apart of his life in Uganda, meant more to them than anything he could ever imagine, for helping him to opening his eyes. Elder McKinley has been suspicious about Elder Thomas's given nickname. He knows something about Elder Thomas that the other Elders do not, yet never decided to confront him about it. Not until now. Did he expect the answer to his question to be connected to someone who was near and dear to Elder Thomas's heart? Not at all.

A week after Marvin kicks Whizzer out of the house, Whizzer finally decides it's time to reach out to someone he hasn't talked to in a while hoping for help. Meanwhile, Kevin Price is finally in Orlando, with his best friend Arnold, Nabulungi, and Connor McKinley. When he gets a text from his brother, who he hasn't talked to other than the quick "happy birthday" on occasion or a quick "hey how are you" with a short response, he's of course concerned. He ends up traveling to pick up Whizzer, who he hasn't seen in person for at least a year. Of course, somehow a certain Connor McKinley ends up going with him to pick up his brother, who decides that he's going to get the two ex-mormons together. Whizzer decides it's time to restart, and he ends up going to Uganda with his brother, with occasional visits to the United States. When Whizzer gets a text from Marvin, he feels himself torn, and decides not to respond. They end up going to the U.S, and it's not until Jason texts to tell him he has a baseball game coming up, and would like him to come. Of course, Whizzer sees Marvin there at the game and they somehow end up back together.

Elder McKinley is hiding a secret he knows will hurt him, but when the impact sends him into a downward spiral, which fellow mormon will help him no matter what? please read the tags before reading this, as depression will be a big part of this story for a few chapters.
