This is day 5 of my one week short story challenge using John Gillard's '101 Short Story Prompts - The Very Short Story Starter'. This day's prompt was: Write a story set in an abandoned location. For example: Six Flags amusement park in New Orleans, derelict since Hurricane Katrina. Pripyat, Ukraine, where 50,000 residents fled following the Chernobyl disaster. A Location that is currently thriving but is not the imagined reality of your story.
