( slow burn, no upside down/powers; elevens name is just el; takes place right after they became friends but that happened sooner in the summer; hopper is el's adoptive dad; her biological dad is martin brenner who's in prison for abusing her, and her mom isn't alive; there's confusion, angst, a little fluff, lowkey slowburn and excessive gay panic )

Hello everyone! This story is a remake of Stranger things, but a love twist between Eleven and Max. I also ended up wanting to write some of the story where the gap is in season 2, when it states time-line but doesn't show the scenes. You know, where Eleven closes the door, but then it just cuts to when they go to the dance some time later. I felt like it would make the story more lively! I hope you enjoy. 😊

Mike is dating El. But soon, one day everything in his life changes. El breaks up with him. Will, whose his best friend liked him for so long. After this breakup, everything changes. Rapidly. ...... Oh and yes Mike knows how to play guitar here because his actor does and I thought it would be a cute addition to the whole story. {ON HOLD} Max is part of an art group at Hawkins High. The group only includes Will and herself. Jane is a new student and is lost but she spots a very pretty ginger girl painting in blue overalls and a white top, splashes of paint all over clothes and face.

This is an Elmax story, but there is a different plot. This story is if El/Jane never got captured, and she has to hide her powers. The only people who know she has powers is her mother and sister, there will be original characters added to make the story my lively.

The characters here are not 100% true to their canon personalities or how you'd expect. They have more insecurities and are more internal than verbal. These are my versions of these characters they are not gonna be perfect versions that look like they're written by the duffers themselves, this is essentially me projecting my own writing and stories onto my favorite characters and ships. If you dislike it don't read, I haven't written publicly in like 2 years so please don't expect perfection, honestly.

[Takes place in S3.] Eleven never really knew what she liked, she spent basically her whole life controlled by others and what they thought was good for her. But that changes when Max decides to show her that Eleven can choose for herself.

📍Hawking's indiana, ever since el stopped talking to mike, el and max have became the ultimate best friends. Little does el know, max might be into her, she wont admit it but she has been trying to find out who she is for a long time. (Im so sorry if it's not the best).
