Based off the prompt "I did a pregnancy test" It was essentially a Tumblr challenge called "15 minute challenge" where Nero and I would have to publish whatever we wrote in 15 minutes without editing or (where applicable) finishing the item.

Set in the same universe as my other Eliot x Reader fic (The Patience Job). It has now been several weeks since Eliot and Reader admitted their feelings to each other and have been exploring the new relationship. When Eliot gets particularly badly hurt on a job, he needs some extended down time to recover at home before heading back out into the field. Reader stays over to help take care of him and in the first test of their new relationship, Eliot begins to feel that his past makes him unworthy of being so happy and tries to push Reader away. Reader isn't about to let that happen. Somehow I managed to write this whole thing without giving the reader an explicit gender, so feel free to imagine what you like!
