I feel like I need to clarify. This is a Betty Cooper fanfiction, not a bughead fanfiction. Though bughead will be a part of the story, this story is about Betty and her trauma/experience, not bughead. The perfect girl next door was the blonde girl's agonizing past. Her life keeps dragging her into situations of excruciating life or dreaded death. Being the Serpent Queen alongside with her loving boyfriend Jughead Jones has been a challenge. The Serpents don't think Betty is worth the position of their queen. Archiecomics/Riverdale-inspired fiction that isn't complete trash. Riverdale is a new teenybopper trashy tendon-gold adaptation of the classic Archie comics to live-action television. We all hate to love it, but boy do we love it. Complete with self-aware tropes, rehashed tween writing, and every scandalous mystery subplot of a young adult's work of fiction all thrown haphazardly together, we just mop it up. Here's my take on one of my favourite pairings of the series, only because I couldn't find any legitimately spine-tingling takes on it elsewhere, after some livid keyboard smashing. I got sick and tired of weaving through piece of crap after piece of crap excuses for writing that people published, essentially reiterating the story and dialogue of Rivervale the series down to a tee. He doesn't enjoy it, in fact he hates it, and it's destroying him. but this is the only way to survive.
