couple of warnings before I ruin Broadchurch by writing this story: 1* Alec may at times be OOC (Out Of Character) especially around my OC and 2* I am new to the show and as I always do I'm watching it as I write so I can stick with it as much as possible (the lame book title may change once I think of a better one😜) Lofn (pronounced lɔvən/loven) Verðandi had been living in Broadchurch for about a month she was the type of woman who normally kept to herself spent more time on the beach or the cliffs searching for peace and for the most part she got that when she first moved to Broadchurch she got a job as a Gofer (person who runs errands) she wasn't sure why she got a job there but for the most part she slightly enjoyed it she became fast friends with Detective Sargent Ellie Miller and got along with a few others her life started to change when Detective Inspector Alec Hardy came into town for she started to feel things she's always been to afraid to feel/has never felt before and she finally allows herself to feel them and yet tries to fight them but fails she believes she let those feelings show a little to quickly and is surprised when they are answered in kind especially with the type of attitude the man she feels them for has what's worse is that she's never really liked a man with a beard mainly do to the fact that everytime she sees one they instantly remind her of her father a man she's hated since she was 8 years old

A year has passed since Joe Miller had been found not guilty for the murder of Daniel Latimer. Alice Walker, a young woman living in Devon, finds herself in Broadchurch after escaping from her past. Like DI Alec Hardy, she came here to escape, only to find that trouble has followed her into Broadchurch, putting them both in danger. (I suck at writing but I was bored and wanted to 'try' and write a fanfic and since there aren't many alec x reader stories I decided to make one. Im already so so sorry about writing this) Summary: DI Y/N L/N moves back to Broadchurch after 4 years of working as a private investigator in London to get past her severe anxiety. Reuniting with Ellie Miller and meeting DI Alec Hardy. Y/N starts working on a new case with them, but soon it turns out she is not the same person with anxiety that left Broadchurch 4 years ago.

Didn't see many of this kind of reader insert stories in the community of Wattpad, so I decided to write this. ALL BROADCHURCH CHARACTERS BELONG TO CHRIS CHIBNALL AND ITV, I OWN NOTHING (D:) You are a Detective Sergeant in the ranks of the Broadchurch Station, Wessex Police, and this sets you at the beginning of Season 1 episode 1, and I might consider continuing beyond Season 3 episode 8 if there is a good reaction towards what I've written, including short ficlets and slice-of-life stories.

Author's Notes: This is an AU story set just after the events of season 1 and the rest of the seasons my version of events will probably vary wildly from the actual show. There isn't much you need to know before reading this, but if you haven't finished the first season, DO NOT read this story. It will spoil the killer. Chiude gli occhi e analizza ogni frammento, cercando quel qualcosa che, se fosse andato diversamente, avrebbe potuto cambiare le cose. Ellie sa che è inutile, che il passato non si cambia e che Danny non può tornare, non importa quanto ardentemente tutti loro lo desiderino, eppure non riesce a farne a meno, perché ci sono cose a cui non puoi non aggrapparti, anche se sai che ti consumeranno fino alle ossa e non lasceranno altro che cenere.
