This is an encounter between Dorothy and the Scarecrow after the melting of the Wicked Witch of the West. It is a Wicked fanfic. Ok so my inspiration for this comes from a book I read in middle school called The Land of Stories. Basically the main character, Alex, has a dream where she meets her childhood fantasy heroes: Wendy Darling, Lucy Pevensie, Alice (from Wonderland), and Dorothy Gale. Alex has this vision because she is internally conflicted about killing the bad guy. The four characters encourage her, and something that always stuck with me is that Dorothy tells Alex that she always felt guilty for killing the Wicked Witch of the West, even though it was an accident. The premise of this fanfic is that immediately after the events in the castle, as the gang is returning to the Wizard, Dorothy is visibly upset by what occurred. The Scarecrow attempts to cheer her up. This fanfic is inspired by Wicked. There are no spoilers for Act I or II, but I will include an epilogue at the end with spoilers for the whole play. I will imply some things about the play, but nothing is directly referenced. Also there are spoilers for the Wizard of Oz, obviously. Cover Photo credit goes to Universal Studios.

Ooh, such an original title (-.-) My first Gelphie fic (AU)! Enter the land of Oz with Galinda and Elphaba as they figure out their mixed feelings towards one another. But it doesn't stop there, no.. Read along as they face life-or-death situations, and almost lose one another in this twisted fiction.

Glinda was drowning in it. The weight of everyone's cheers as they held a feast to celebrate Elphaba's death was too much. Until she caught wind of a green girl on the outskirts of Oz. Hope.

After the events of the Emerald City, an upset Glinda Upland is sent back to Shiz University where she must return to her studies. She reminisces on everything that happened earlier that day, right up until she returns to her empty dorm room. or Glinda regrets not coming with Elphaba, and now has to deal with the whole school's interpretation on her best friend after the Emerald City, thanks to Madame Morrible, and whatever she had told them.

Setting: Shiz University and beyond (expanded canonverse) Word Count Goal: 200k+ (epic length) Elphaba Thropp arrives at Shiz with a fire already burning-anger at injustice, disgust at privilege, and no desire to be liked. Fiyero Tigelaar arrives with no purpose at all-crown prince of a distant land, bored and golden, skating through life with no real convictions. What begins as mutual disdain-her seeing him as frivolous and shallow, him seeing her as severe and joyless-slowly, almost imperceptibly, begins to shift. Across debates in class, awkward partner projects, and sleepless nights in the library, they begin to chip away at each other's walls. But the world is changing. Politics are fracturing. Secrets come to light. And the more they see of each other, the more dangerous their feelings become. To love Elphaba is to walk into the storm. Fiyero, for once, doesn't look away.

So much happened after Elphaba and Fiyero left Oz. (Elphaba's POV) DISCLAIMER: I SADLY DO NOT OWN WICKED 5.19.22 You guys... I wrote this when I was TWELVE. I am now in my 20s. Why people are still reading this, I have no idea. I genuinely don't remember if it's any good at all because I refuse to reread it. However, considering it was written when I was twelve, I do know there are many parts that are incredibly cringe worthy. Nonetheless, thank you for the support.
