What if Rimuru, or more accurately, Mikami Satoru, wasn't just a normal human in his world? What if he was a seraphim too, tasked with the protection of Earth from Valdanava? ps. The True Angel Form that Satoru/Elpis has is like those biblically accurate angels, that the human eye or anyone who is considered "weak" cannot perceive Satoru's/Elpis' true form. And when they try to gaze at something they cannot perceive, they may go blind, mad, or simply perish just by looking at Satoru/Elpis.
