Elain visions of a Koschei and Vassa become more frequently and she struggles to fit in without her friend, Azriel. Rhysand command sends Azriel spiralling, he does not know what to do with his feelings. Elain wants him, the female he wants, wants him but he is not allowed to have her because of the Cauldron. Read a court of sight and shadow to see Elain and Azriel question why they are not mates and overcome fate, their families and the cauldron. *Elriel is the main couple in this book, however other ships might be entertained*

My book takes place after them, and I honestly can't compare to the real genius behind these worlds (shout out sjmaas), so go and (sob, laugh, smile) read those two before (hopefully!) reading this. After Elain forms a new friendship with Cassian, Nesta herself finds a new friend in Azriel who basically becomes her ride or die much to Cassian's frustration who is too jelous to realize its a platonic realtionship.
