She once loved Mairon the Admirable in the pristine gardens of Valinor, a pure romance that was shattered forever when he chose to become the Dark Lord Sauron. Now, thousands of years after diving into the freezing ocean to rescue the final Silmaril from being lost to the deep, Náriel returns from her long centuries of lonely exile. Bearing the holy starlight gem hidden upon her silver circlet, her path brings her back to the gates of Rivendell and into the presence of Lord Elrond. Bound by an immortal law that allows an elf to love only once, her eternal devotion to Mairon is now a burning torrent of profound hatred. As the twilight falls and the Fellowship prepares to march, the Fire-Child must draw her silver blade once more, ready to fight the monster her heart can never forget under the turning stars of the world. To mock her, they cut off the tips of her ears, a distinctive trait of elves. After more than a century of slavery, passed down like an object within the band, she managed to escape, but weakened by her physical frailty, she collapsed in a forest, believing her life was about to end. Instead, some elves found her and took her with them. What if Morgoth won the war and took over Middle Earth? Ethelinda is the daughter of Morgoth and has always been one of his most powerful soldiers. She had always been by his side, keeping the rest of Middle Earth under their command through all three ages. Amara has always longed for adventure and when threats begin to arise all over Middle Earth, Amara follows her father to Mirkwood in search of answers. Legolas is the heir to the throne, Raina is a young adventurous she-elf and Melledir is still a small child. When their mother is killed in the fortress of Gundabad they are all devastated, Thranduil must now rule without the advice of his beloved, Legolas must learn to be king from just his father and the younger two must grow up without a mother.
