Misfits are hunted, for the council has made everyone believe that they are not to be trusted for the tricks they can play on ones mind (really because their scared they can't control them). Lorna is one of many that can use their minds to speak from great distances to other misfits and speak to animals. There are many mind tricks these people can play but some use it for worse rather than good. I have read the book Obernewtyn and I really liked the setting so I've turned it into my own.
