One of these applicants is named Masaki Kurisu. He was recommended to apply for the magic school by his mother, Masaki Yua. His mother believed this would help him get over his fear of the world, ever since the passing of his father. His sister, Masaki Yui, backed his mother on this and told Kurisu she would help him however she could. This motivated Kurisu, and he ended up applying for the school and got accepted into the entrance exam. As he is learning, an attack on his hometown of Elwood occurs, in which his sister and mother are affected. He rushes over with his five new friends, to discover his house was destroyed and his family was turned to stone. Will Kurisu and his new friends be able to protect the village of Elwood? Or will it all turn to stone as the uprising heroes collapse like their former alumni?
