An Old man travels alone through the mountains, his only companion being his beloved stallion. On a search for a runaway boy, the old hunter tracks his prey through the wilds. His trade is grim, and some even say dishonorable, but it's what he knows, and honor can't put bread in your mouth, or ale in your belly. Oh his journey Verick the Hunter will remember more about himself that he would sooner have forgotten, and find much that would he rather have stayed lost. "Our lives, it seems, are much like the campfire here" He mused, tossing a few more sticks into the flames. "We start out so young, so full of promise, such a fire to be released from within us. As we burn out our youth, so bright and so hot, you'd think we'd go on burning so brilliantly forever. However, it seems that no matter how bright our flame, no matter how brilliant our passion. Eventually though, we all fade. In the end, we are all as embers in the dawn, slowly crackling out our last sparks as we fade"

All stories have their beginnings, their middles, and their ends. And this story is no different. However, unlike many stories, this story takes place at the end. The conclusion of life, the ruin of great cities, the extinguishing of powerful dynasties, the final days of families, the last breaths. This is the Age Of Embers. This is my first story. So... yay. Also, I apologize in advance for everything I'll be putting you guys through. I'm a twisted, evil little shit. And I am not sure how often I'll be updating.

The five lakeside Clans have known nothing but peace and plenty for moons. Many young warriors have grown up never knowing war, and apprentices having never known battle, and kits having never known hunger, and the future only seems bright as the Clans' numbers and strength grow. But lasting prosperity may be too much to hope for, as disaster always lies just out of sight, one which will change life as the Clans know it forever. StarClan knows this better than most, but it seems the power of the older spirits is fading, and the living are deaf to their vague warnings. Interference from beyond only serves to further muddle their message, and it seems the fate of the Clans is left to the cats who dream of fire. --- Redpaw is a WindClan apprentice with the same modest hopes as any other Clan-born cat: To become a good warrior and serve his Clan. He and his sister, Fernpaw, have the fortune of growing up in peaceful times, with plentiful prey and good relationships between the Clans. So why, then, are his dreams filled with the horror of death and fire? As his visions begin to take shape in the waking world as well, he's left wondering if there is something wrong with him, or if StarClan has a message for him -- and if so, why? --- This is a the spiritual successor/reboot of my other fanfiction, "Embers," that was finished (the first book at least) a few years ago. It will follow the same characters and a similar (ish) but hopefully better plot, and will ideally come out a bit less rambling haha.

In Wiltshire, England, a monument stands, Filled with magic, made by hands, In this circle, the eight sisters reside, Because of wicked spirits, they have to hide. They rule together, each with an equal voice, But what happens next is a reflection on their choice; For neglecting their duties, they have a price to pay, Find each other quick, or bring upon doomsday.

Mya, Jessie, Oliver, Daniel, Michael, Noah, and Nicole are all relatively different people. But there's one thing they all have in common: They love camping. But when a serial killer starts committing homicide to teens around their town and they're stranded in a pavilion in the forest, they have no idea. Little do they know their camping trip on October 28th, may have them all dead. ~~ First real book!
