Vowing to be able to hold his head up high when faced with the man again, Cardinal Copia continues to get on with his work, ignoring the sting of feelings he's buried deep in his chest. However, time had an uncanny thing about it and old wounds eventually scar bringing forth new growth. A year of healing made Copia stronger, his bond with the Ghouls was better than any other, and with them, at his back, he was ready to deal with the return of his former lover. Though, no matter how much he tried to block it out, the passage of time had done nothing to dull the ache for him.
