This is my first fanfic woop woop! It's a Gerard Way x Female reader and I hope you enjoy it. Also if you don't know French, (the book itself is English don't worry) the title means 'protect me' (sorry for the grammar it was based off of the Placebo song).

tapes are done, patient x is locked and secure in his straightjacket and in a white padded room inside of the Silent Meadow insane asylum (S.M.I.A) An insane man and his two brothers are locked inside of three separate rooms, all three minds set to find an escape. They have drugs tested on them because they seem to be "broken" and "ill", so the doctor has to "fix" them. He records tapes for evidence for the drugs and records the security tapes to see their reactions after the drugs kick in. The three suffer with mental illnesses, all needing help from Mr Doctor Man... they see him as an enemy, others see him as a hero...

The Kropp family is slowly falling apart and Sebastian try's his hardest to put the parts back together. working two endless jobs just so his brother and his mum can eat life seems like its always fight with him so much one day he might just give up the fight. Remington is hanging with the wrong crowd and at only 16 already does drugs his brothers would only have nightmares about him taking. But this bad boy has a dark painful past that he still has flash backs about and try's his best to try hide his fear by drinking his pain way. The youngest Emerson at only 14 has been through hell and back and his older brothers honestly are shocked he still breaths to this day but it did come with a price. He may look 14 but his mental age in no were near and gets triggered by loud noises . This story might have some things in it that might trigger others, I will address in chapters. Read at your own risk.

They discover a passion for making music, but have limits on what kind of music they can make, and how they're supposed to perform. As they each go through their own rite of passage, they discover what kind of musicians they want to be, and what they want to be as their own person.

Emerson doesn't have many friends or much of a life outside of the band with his brothers so his oldest brother Sebastian takes it upon himself to find him a new friend. Noah is the same age as Remington and is good friends with Sebastian, Sebastian thinks that Emerson could use some more confidence and what better guy to help him with that than Noah? Sebastian introduces the two but Emerson isn't too pleased, Emerson doesn't speak much to Noah he usually just brushes him off. The very few times the two do talk Emerson isn't nice, Noah doesn't understand why. when Noah loses his job and has trouble finding a new one Sebastian offers for him to stay with the three brothers, so of course, he excepts. Noah's and Emerson's rooms are conveniently placed beside each other, Noah stumbles into the wrong room one night when he's tired and finds an adorable sleeping Emerson. Noah accidentally made a loud noise and woke up Emerson, the thing is, he wasn't mad, he was confused but then he felt something he hadn't felt in a long time. what was it? was he too mad to feel his anger? Or was he just confused about why Noah looked scared? Maybe, just maybe he was developing feelings for the man he didn't want anything to do with. Maybe the feeling was lust? Emerson is the quiet drummer of Palaye Royale who only has one friend, Shy. He doesn't talk much, especially about the fact that Emerson Barrett is not straight. Noah is the most confident man you will ever meet, apart from when he's around Emerson. He plays some sports for fun, he's nice and is quite talkative, but he too hides the fact that Noah is not straight, far from it. ( This is a gay fanfiction there may be smut at one point. There will be markings so you can skip. If you don't like it don't read it. There is also swearing. you have been warned!)
