But after the Bellus Central Mainframe (BCM) detects his arrival, he is apprehended and imprisoned. The Doctor expects a fair trial, but after being broken out by Rebels who despise the New Law, the Doctor discovers the mechanical truth behind the Bellus Security Department (BSD) and their actions. The Doctor realises that he must stop them before an incident, similar to what happened previously on Bellus IV, sends the planet into a war which neither side will win. I'm quite late to the party, but I finally read this book and handled the ending about as well as most other readers. For my own peace of mind, here is the ending I would have written.

░▒▓█►─═Ｂａｉｌｅｙ═─◄█▓▒░ In the sleepy town of Hawkins, Indiana, nothing ever happened. There weren't many stemming stories. The paper was the same old news, the remote clicked past familiar channels, and even the people weren't particularly interesting. 𝐁𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 was one of them. There was a cliché tale to her name. She'd had so far what one might consider to be a 'rough life'. But she lived it one day at a time, taking her hand as it was dealt. She liked it that way. Or maybe she just believed she did. There was only one aspect of day to day life she truly looked forward to. A boy too far out of her league, who she was grateful even knew her name. Although, his was infamous. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧, who, she believed, made the ordinary life of Hawkins seem worth it. Even if, in reality, he made it a million times harder. Bailey has her mind set on what she wants and she is determined to get it. But life has a way of putting a few obstacles between her and the destination. Like Nancy Wheeler... Love can sometimes blind us. We can fall in love with the moment and not the person. Yet in that moment, we can be at our happiest and nothing can ruin it...until you are no longer blind and you see them for who they truly are. However, it can also be the opposite. You could just as easily fall in love with someone for their personality and how they treat you, yet hate them for everything else they do. And you can't help it, you try to not love them, to hate them with everything you have...but it's impossible. This is exactly how I felt when I met the one person who changed my world completely and it was most definitely the best thing to happen to me throughout my entire life.
