Summary:
In Heaven, order is law, and mercy is a luxury few can afford. Lute, a loyal lieutenant of Adam's exorcists, believes in justice above all else-sinners deserve no second chances, and faith is meaningless without discipline. Emily, a high-ranking seraphim, believes the opposite: redemption is possible for anyone, no matter how far they've fallen.
When the annual descent to Hell brings the two together, their opposing ideals clash in ways neither expected. Lute sees Emily as naïve and irritating, while Emily sees the cracks in Lute's steadfast devotion. But beneath the arguments, the bickering, and the ideological battles, a tension simmers-one that challenges everything they thought they knew about Heaven... and each other.
Enemies in belief, reluctant allies in duty, and maybe something more in their hearts, can two angels from opposite sides of morality find common ground-or will their differences tear them apart entirely?
