Emma and James are happily married and expecting their life to change in 1920. Emma expects her life to be blissful with the news of a baby on the way, but things in the Crawley family never stay serene when they are faced with challenges that threatens their household.

World War One has now occured and Lady Emma Crawley must either sink or swim in this troubled, dark times. Since the Garden Party in 1914, Emma must face challenges that would either make her a strong woman or break her.
