~Emma X Paul Emma wakes up to find that all the events that previously happened was caused by a nightmare but what happens when she can't remember most things?

After the musical zombie apocalypse ( apotheosis ), Emma Perkins ( a barista from Hachetfield, and the only survivor of the apocalypse ) is captured, by her former crush who is not infected! ( zombies ), Paul. Emma believes that soon her life will be over and that she too will be infected! soon. But, she discovers that Paul's case of apotheosis is different than the others, and is leading a rebellion to try to destroy the hive, and find a cure for the infected. Paul claims that he needed her help with this, but she couldn't help but ask herself the question, why her?

Emma couldn't believe her luck. Paul was alive and okay. He made it back from destroying the meteor. After locating the rest of their living friends, they fled to the only safe space they could think of. So with the announcement of nmt2 I thought it was finally time to release this story that has been in my notes for months. It's another kid fic (I'm sorry I don't know why I like these so much) This is cute Paulkins shit, because they deserve to be happy, alright! What exactly happened in Hatchetfield after the musical invasion? As it turns out, a surprising amount. Emma isn't the only one not turned. After barely getting out of getting killed and turned by the aliens with a fondness for the performing arts, she discovers Dr. Harriet Hidgens, the niece of the eccentric Henry Hidgens, Who has been hidden away and forgotten about by her uncle. As she emerges from her doomsday vault, Harriet becomes the solution that conveniently no one knew existed, and potentially humanity's last hope- or is she?

(DISCLAIMER: This is kind of an 'the outbreak happens but then everyone returns to normal and keeps living their normal lives, except they all have collective trauma' AU, so, yeah.)
