this is a story based on the Anime "the promised neverland". it doesn't follow the main story (in fact Ray and Emma are 17 and 16 years old) , but there might be little spoilers. (ps: the cover image does not belong to me) they managed to escape from the orphanage, save the Goldy Pond children, and defeat Lewis. everything was going well. the next step was to gather information and find minerva. This fanfiction takes place after where the manga ends. Emma has started her life anew with her big family once more. She tries her best to rekindle her bonds with the people who once meant the world to her, and rediscover herself in the process. However, Ray seems to be the only one who has trouble being friends with her. As he tries to come to terms with the fact that his relationship with her may not be the same anymore, he also realizes that he has started to see Emma in a new light. He finds his newfound feelings for her to be hard to swallow, especially when his other best friend Norman has liked her since childhood, and Emma herself doesn't remember how close they once were in the past. How does Emma see Ray anyway with no memories to affect her perception of him?
