Soon, Kevin gets his own Straight Companion, someone to help him keep away his gay thoughts and to make sure he stays emotionally healthy. But this new friend isn't exactly what Kevin was expecting, and finds it strange when he starts to get intrigued by this person. Genre: Non-Fiction / Memoir / Personal Essays / Emotional Health You see the curated life. I lived the real one. This is not a story about a character; this is a brutally honest, page-by-page look into the heart of the author. For years, I perfected the art of appearing mature and unbothered. I learned to bottle up my true emotions-my frustrations, my heartbreaks, my quiet joys-believing that silence was protection. But holding it all in only created a desperate hunger to be truly seen. Through these essays, I revisit the moments I dared to be vulnerable, only to have my experiences dismissed, invalidated, and compared to the pain of others. From friendships that crumbled under pressure to quiet moments of devastating self-doubt, each chapter is a confession of the raw, messy truth I was too afraid to share out loud. This book is a journey through the moments that taught me the hard way: that when you're told your feelings are "too sensitive" or "minor," you learn to swallow the tears and keep the silence. If you've ever felt unheard, misunderstood, or simply wrong for feeling exactly what you felt, this is your permission slip to stop holding your breath.

When it comes to living the life we all want to live, that life we dreamed of living for many years, our life doesn't end up like we had expected. But at some point we do find ourselves accepting and respecting that it's what we needed but will add the things we want just it went on a different path in which we didn't have planned in our dreams. Though because of this, it can be hard to accept how our life has gone and sometimes find ourselves losing hope for the things we want because we even find ourselves losing sight of our true selves due to being all caught up with becoming all the expectations and standards in which society wants us to be and how to live our lives so that we can then be accepted by them, to be validated. But we shouldn't give them any right or the power to go down that road just to be validated and accepted, we should instead focus on all that we want to be as a human being, achieve all that we want with our life by creating that life. The best way to predict the future is to create it!

This poem dives deep into a life filled with grief, loss, and survival. It explores the struggle of living with essential tremors, the burden of past trauma, the challenges of maintaining sobriety, and the frustration of feeling misunderstood. It's about the tension between independence and connection, the anger and sadness that surface in everyday life, and the strength it takes to simply keep standing. It's raw, unapologetic, and vulnerable - a testament to human resilience and the quiet courage of surviving when the world feels heavy.

This is my entry for Maybelline's #BraveTogether mental health awareness month. This is my story of struggling with depression, combating my ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), and struggles with suicidal, and harmful thoughts. This is actually my first time coming out about my recovery. It just always seemed like something to keep a secret. It was embarrassing. To be honest, to society, depression and suicidal thoughts or actions aren't normal, and the people who are having them should be avoided. We need to listen to others, to others who are saying things that don't seem normal. You never know if that person is joking around or is actually serious. No matter what, if someone is talking about suicidal things, you need to immediately talk to someone. I am Grace Flint and I will listen.

To cover the main reason why I have created this book here, I'd like to talk about it. The main reason why I wanted to create this book because we are all so caught up in so much, we find ourselves not being 100% mindful to do our absolute best to our ability in our lives with everything. Employers want to hire & expect their employees to work by multi-tasking at their company. But with all the research & testing done, it's important to be mindful in every task we do in our lives. If we choose to multi-task, we are basically doing little bit of each task & during these tasks, there's proof that we aren't putting all our attention & having our mind focus mainly and only on one task at a time. And because we are focusing on more than one task at a time, we are more likely than not to make mistakes even without realizing until our supervisor or manager brings the awareness to us that we did wrong. But there's a better way to prevent ourselves to make mistakes in this way by practicing mindfulness with meditation, yoga to help you learn and get into the healthier habit of focusing on one task at a time. Focusing on one task at a time can really have its greater benefits in the workplace & in everything you do. Anyway, as I have explained here, the purpose of this book is to help anyone wanting to improve their skills & their success in the workplace. And I truly recommend any employees suggest them & all their employees at their company to stop multi-tasking and focus on one task at a time. Answering a phone from a patient or customer & writing down important info is completely fine. It's just the other tasks that so many of us are expected & the habit of following of completing more than one task at once that only causes problems. So I want this book to help bring the awareness, education, knowledge & intelligence to improve your lives by knowing how to practice mindfulness to improve work productivity & success in the workplace & in everything!
