In the heart of the military barracks, where the rigid cadence of discipline echoed through the corridors, a 19-year-old private named Ethan stood as an unassuming figure. His slight build and shy demeanor concealed a unique gift that would soon transform the very essence of the unit. Ethan, appointed as the unit's medic, possessed an extraordinary ability beyond his official duties. He became a silent guardian for his comrades, offering a compassionate haven where soldiers could unload the burdens of anger, depression, and anxiety. As the seasons unfolded, so did the unspoken camaraderie among the troops, knit together by Ethan's genuine empathy and unwavering support. This chapter unfolds in the barracks, revealing the unlikely heroism found not in combat drills, but in the tender moments where a medic became a confidant. The story begins with the essence of compassion, as Ethan's influence on the unit sets the stage for a narrative that defies the conventional expectations of military life.

Slightly inspired by the My Hero Academia fanfiction, "Comforting Touch" by NyghtWalker on fanfiction.net, when it comes to Midoriya's powers, although with noticeable differences from that story. Izuku Midoriya. Quirk: "Emotional Support." By making physical contact with others or himself, and providing words of encouragement, he can boost the morale of others and increase their power or extension of their quirk or physical ability. It takes a toll on his mental state though. Midoriya is the youngest in age, and is quite smart, but his quirk isn't all that much. Can he become the hero he wishes to be? Can his childhood friend, Yui Kodai, help him in any way, despite her lack of emotional expression?
