Some people don't celebrate light. Some people resent it. Some people look at joy and feel the need to dim it. At first the comments were small. "You're too sensitive." "You're a little much." "You're exhausting sometimes." "You take things too personally." They said these things with laughter. With shrugs. With the casual cruelty of people who expect you to swallow their words and thank them for it. So I did. Because I thought the problem must be me. I tried to quiet myself. I sang less. I spoke less. I laughed less. The girl I once was slowly disappeared. In her place was someone smaller. Quieter. Someone who apologized for everything - even existing. I thought if I just tried harder... if I softened myself enough... if I stopped being "too much"... they would finally accept me. But you cannot shrink yourself into someone else's comfort without disappearing completely. And one day, I realized something that changed everything. I was never too much. I was just surrounded by people who couldn't handle someone who felt deeply, loved loudly, and lived fully. This is the story of how I lost myself. And how I found my voice again.

She said "I do" under roses and promises. He said "forever" while hiding another woman's name in his phone. Rachel thought their Chicago love story was perfect sunset honeymoons, Friday flowers, a beautiful son named Noah. She forgave the late nights, the lipstick stains, the deleted texts. She forgave the affair with Jessica. Twice. Because her mother always said, "Every marriage has secrets. Stay for the family. What will people say?" But secrets have expiration dates. When Rachel bumps into Jessica smirking, pregnant, and very much still in David's life everything shatters. The man who begged for one last chance never cut ties. He built a whole new future behind her back. This time, no tears. No second chances. No more swallowing lies for the sake of "perfect" family photos. Rachel walks away. Files the papers. Reclaims her life. Because some betrayals don't deserve forgiveness. Some endings are the beginning of finally breathing free. Heartbreak. Lies. Redemption in walking away. Will she ever look back?

I was Arlan's "safe choice." The woman who kept his house warm, his coffee hot, and his secrets safe. I thought being a loyal wife was enough. I thought my devotion would make up for the fact that I wasn't pale, I wasn't skinny, and I didn't look like the models he followed on Instagram. But I was wrong. In Arlan's eyes, I was like an old piece of furniture-essential, but dusty and invisible. When he chose Cindy-a woman who was everything I wasn't-my world shattered. Not because he left, but because I realized I had spent three years trying to bleach my soul just to fit into his narrow world. This isn't a story about winning him back. It's a story about a woman who stopped hiding her tan skin and started chasing her own sun. Sometimes, being invisible is the only way to see who you truly are.

she was a scattered palette filled with every colour and he was the calm painter who envisioned the whole world through her on his canvas. A tale set in the late 1800s, India when feminism was a taboo while patriarchy and misogyny was a norm. Labanya, an eight year old girl who was a little too curious for her age and gender was tied to Rudrajit, an eleven year old boy who was a bit too composed and soft for his age and gender by the sacred bond of marriage. What would this marriage bring about in the lives of these young souls who were yet to discover their own selves? N.B - This story revolves not only around the romance between the two main character but also focuses on the important aspects and lessons that one could learn from this story by living through the characters and their mindsets while also getting to know about the very different environment of those time. I do not intend to impersonate or resemble any real personalities through my story as it's purely my imagination. Mention of real places and a few historic personalities are there just to add depth to the story and make it realistic.
