"She just confessed to me." Ena said, her face heating up even more as she said that. "Ohoho, she confessed to me as well!" Mizuki laughed mischievously, her face turning into a sarcastic evil face. "This is definitely turning into a poly relationship..But, I'm too focused on music to even be in one.." Kanade sighed softly.

What happens when you start catching feelings before you even realize it? -- Mafuyu has always found emotions difficult to understand. So when she begins questioning a certain feeling, she turns to Ena for advice. What she doesn't expect is for one simple conversation to slowly change the way they see the people around them-and themselves. Between late-night Nightcord calls, casual hangouts, teasing messages, awkward misunderstandings, and feelings that refuse to stay hidden, the four of them gradually find themselves getting closer. Maybe love isn't something you can figure out all at once. Maybe you just have to see where your feelings lead.

As an artist, Ena struggless to be accepted by her father. Each day she tried to make a New masterpiece, the one that Will make her old man change his mind. But, nothing. She thougth she lost all of her hope until one 'normal' deer Walks up to her and changes her thougthd of making her father proud of her. are we sure we want to end this way? mizuena & kanamafu ena's dad locks her from ever associating herself with art again from an arguement between akito, her father and herself from harsh comments on her art, also reflecting onto her father reputation, especially after only finding out akito was involved in an illegal activity. mizuki finds their identity lost between the words and whispers of previous classmates tormenting them and misgendering them to the point mizuki becomes mentally sick and unable to even move from their room. kanade's dad was found dead because of her tripping and loosening a cord that brings air into his lungs, grief pouncing onto kanade and terribly impacting her sleep schedule and mental well-being. mafuyu's mother has a damaging conflict with her father and divorces him and struggles financially forcing mafuyu to completely block herself from even composing a song with nightcord again to focus on her career on becoming a doctor to raise money for her and her mother. mafuyu's mother reflects her rage and anger on mafuyu who barely is able to maintain her calm, kind state at school.

The story takes place around five years after the third years in game graduated and follows Kanade after N25's split up to pursue different paths in the future. While everyone continues to pursue their dreams together and laugh along side one another, Kanade finds herself alone. While dealing with her complicated feelings she gets an big assignment at her composing job. Note: This is my first ever fic and it took me several months to get the concept. It's a Nightcord at 25:00/ Kanade centric fic with appearances from the other units. I had an idea for an epilogue and I wanted to explore what could happen to them in the future. Hint: everything goes full circle. I'm going off my interpretations of the characters after reading Nightcord at 25:00, WonderlandxShowtime, and Leo/Need's story, so apologies if I missed anything. I am currently going through More More Jump's story right now. Btw my favorite characters are Kanade, Mafuyu, Ichika, and Honami so I really wanted to get them right. Just consider this a future AU since it's my version loosely based on the actual story. As for the virtual singers. I did not address where they went but let's just say, in between the time skip the Sekai's suddenly stopped working for an unknown reason. Miku and the others deemed each one of the units ready to head out into the world to do what they did for them, help people find their true feelings through music.
