Have you ever laid awake late at night after a really good day, thoughts of warmth and laughter swirling about your mind as you caress every memory as though it were something tender, and precious. Lily is a young girl growing up in rainy, wet, cold London city. She has been through her fare share of hardships, but she has an even fairer share of clear, warm memories. Readers get to see first hand how she ages, and changes along with her rowdy brothers, and loving parents. Slowly they grow up, find their special someone's, and settle down. Everything seems to have changed, but one thing has always stayed the same. Listen closely and you'll know what. In this heartwarming short story Haylee truly captures the thoughts of a girl growing from a child, to a teen, and finally to a woman. You will feel as if you are living right inside Lily's shoes, and you will find yourself empathizing and cheering for her characters the whole way through. Haylee is a young author and you can tell she knows how it feels growing through adolescence, into adulthood. Aside from that her writing is way beyond her years in a startling way. I would be impressed if you didn't cry by the end.

A collection of poems I've written to get me through. I've written these while crying or while angry. Not in anyway are these professional, purely for growth of me and for yourself if you can relate. This is the first thing I'm posting and I hope it reaches people deeper than just the mind. I hope these poems inspire or create. I hope they discover or are felt. All in all, I hope you enjoy.

In a time where Magic is outlawed and feared by all, one was kissed with it from birth, and she isn't sure if it was a blessing or a curse. She has been on the run, moving from village to village from a young age. Even with as small of a magical gift as she has, people fear her. Fear her for her ability. Why does she have this ability? What is its purpose? Will her life always be one saturated by fear? All characters and ideas portrayed in this story is original, one of my many works in progress.
