Belle is just done with her life. She's started over and over and over again, convincing herself each time that this would be her new beginning. She's escaping from her past, and she knows it. When Belle realizes that she'd have to stop running, she makes an impulsive decision to move back to a place she spent her summer years before only to find a person that broke her heart years before. “ She loves me, she loves me not.” A young man stood straight picking white petals from a flower. Watching each one fall to the grass, he thought, ‘ white droplets, huh?’ After picking the last one, he watched it as it fell in the center of black granite. “ She loves me…” He said quietly, a pained smile painted on his face. He choked back the unwanted tears. “ I guess I would really never know if you ever did, right?”

Grace Quenelle is a perfectly normal 7th grader until her entire world goes dark leaving only her and her friend alive. She must navigate the treacherous land and her treacherous heart but this all becomes much harder when they meet up with another group specifically with Echo, a mysterious girl who draws in Grace. Can she survive or will she fall prey to the hungry animals or even her own hungry darkness? From time to time his boss the professor casts an eye over the progress of the animal species to gauge whether they will evolve into truly intelligent beings - by his definition. The tech and the prof hate each other so when the prof orders the destruction and sterilisation of the planet for the sixth time the tech strives to engineer the prof's destruction too.

The wind was weak, a simple breeze flowing through the green trees that grew outside. I took a small sip but spat it out immediately as I shifted back to reality. I looked down at the green goop in the half shattered glass and I looked out my window as I poured it out into the dirty, half broken sink. The window was broken and had a green tint to it as a small breeze blew through the overgrown trees and vines that spread everywhere. I turned around and sighed as I remembered the giant tree that had smashed half my house. I grabbed my broken phone and looked at the comment I had posted 2 years in the past. I scrolled a bit, looking at the other comments and giggling at the scenes they had made up for the video. I looked at one of the comments that said "2 years ago" heh. I missed humanity. This is the story of my existence. My time surviving the hell hole was worth recording so I did. My survival techniques could help you, I survived the war, the disease and the death that cascaded throughout the world, this is how I survived until the day I died. My life I have lived by simple rules until I was forced to come out of hiding and risk everything I have in life and everything I have been taught because some idiot (my brain) thought it would be a good idea to go searching for something to survive with that would be better that the petty existence was stuck with. It's always the good ones.
