A story I wrote for an English exam in Year 11 at school

endure - v.  suffer (something painful or difficult) patiently.

Since I was young, I wanted to fly. To soar through the clouds and feel the wind envelope my entire body. It was the one thing I've always wanted to do. But, as years go by, my wings are clipped little by little. "You can't have wings, I'm sorry. If you leave, how will we survive without you?" I had forgotten. My family needs me. How could I even think about flying? BASED ON A TRUE STORY Life is so hard in general. You have to struggle so hard just to survive in this world, and it's even more harder if you have dreams and goals. For the #KatyKeene writing challenge, I wanted to share why it was so hard to get where I am now. I didn't accomplish anything big or grand, but I've established something I longed for for so long: a chance for self discovery. To show who I am and discover things about myself, because I never got the chance to. Please give this a read, I promise it'll be more interesting than what you expect!

endure (verb.) - suffer (something painful or difficult) patiently. ----------- After a really hard time in Crystal Evans's life, she thought things could NEVER fall back into place after her parents' death. She thought she would spend the rest of her life hating it and feeling alone. A certain someone happens to accidentally run into her, the both of them not knowing they'd see each other again. After that, things will happen, and things will definitely change for the both of them. Could it be for the better?

As a competitive runner, the art of the race is something extremely close to my heart. The mental strength required to endure the pain of competitive running is nearly incomprehensible for most to understand. This poem serves to uniquely capture the feeling of the final stretch.

Copyright 2022 Life is going along just fine until a pandemic courses through the United States. Nobody knows what it is, nor where it came from. There is no name for it and there is no cure. That's why Brynne Anderson thinks it's strange that only a week into National lockdown that a vaccine seems to come out of nowhere. Everybody jumps at it, immediately wanting to be inoculated against the virus taking the lives of everyone they love. Only then, do matters get worse. A strange symbol of twists and lines appear on the wrists of those who are vaccinated and that is their identification. If you bare the symbol, you are branded for ruin. In this novel, we travel with Brynne Anderson, as she tries to figure out what is wrong with everybody once they get the vaccine and why nothing has happened to her. She is already racked with guilt over the death of her father years before, but now that her mother and brother are gone as well the grief is overwhelming. She must figure out how to get rid of the vaccine and stop the government from using it. Along the way, she faces trials, forges friendships, and stumbles upon love along the way as well. She must endure and be brave to save the lives of the ones she loves. #3 in OVERCOME #2 in GRIT #1 in ENDURE
