"A daughter waited seventeen years to hear one word... 'Welcome home.' Instead, she discovered that everyone already knew who she was... except her." For seventeen years, Ishinya Somvanshi believed her world began and ended with one man-her father, Veeransh Somvanshi. The man who called her "My little Sunshine." The man who loved her enough to make her believe she would never need anyone else. Then one ordinary conversation destroyed everything. "She is your sister." "We know." In a single heartbeat, her world collapsed. The mother she had spent her entire life dreaming about already knew she existed. The five brothers she had unknowingly crossed paths with already knew the truth. Everyone knew who she was... everyone except the girl whose life it belonged to. The cruelest part wasn't discovering she had another family. It was realizing they believed she was the reason theirs had fallen apart. While one family drowns in regret, another desperately protects the little girl who apologizes for pain she never caused. A loyal Security Chief becomes the brother she never had, true friends refuse to leave her side, a cold superstar slowly begins questioning everything he believes, and somewhere far away, a father remains unaware that his little Sunshine is fighting the biggest battle of her life alone. As forgotten memories return and seventeen years of buried secrets begin to unravel, one truth threatens to change every relationship forever. Will a mother regain the daughter she lost? Will five brothers realize the cost of their hatred? Or will seventeen years of pain leave scars that love can never heal? Some stories are written with ink. This one is written with tears, silence... and a little girl who never stopped waiting for her family.

Arata Kurosawa lives alone, keeps to himself, and is probably the most academically gifted student in his school. He is very well aware of it. When the school offers him a stipend, a useful addition to his academic record, and free accommodation in exchange for tutoring five failing students, he takes it without thinking twice. How hard could tutoring five failing students really be? Extremely hard, as it turns out. The five in question are sisters, technically. Three of one kind, two of another. None of them asked to be a family, and none of them asked for him either. One refuses help from anyone, one is so anxious she can barely look at a test paper, one simply does not give a damn, one has a grocery budget and no time for his nonsense, and the last one started this whole mess. This will not be the first time they have met.

✄┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ contradict♡ry... explores the daily lives and struggles of teens balancing high school, their home lives, and social relationships in this fictional world, specifically, following the two mains with their contrasting upbringings; the perspective of Sage (mostly) or Aspen. Though it does go into romantic territory, which will be recurring throughout, it delves deeper into the respective lives of the main characters and how they are both affected by the home they grew up in despite having vastly different arrangements. Extending to how they both respond, have clashing personalities, relationships with addiction and their peers, and constant conflicts with themselves or others, there's rarely downtime reading through Sage or Aspen. With that, this focus includes all the other characters, who deal with their own struggles and individual personalities, but, at the end of the day, lands on them being teens.

Oikawa could feel the heat radiating from your body, his own body getting warmer by the second. He didn't know why he did it or what he expected the outcome to be, but it felt right in the moment. He kisses your neck gently, eyes squeezed shut. He pulls away, pressing his forehead against your shoulder. He looks over at you again, expression soft. "I can't stand you most of the time. You're stubborn and annoying. You've got a bad attitude and you talk a lot. You piss me off and frustrate me and do things to make me crazy-" "But I *like* it. I like seeing you. I like seeing you smile and hearing you laugh. You're so pretty, so damn pretty. I look for you everywhere I go. I think about you when I'm not with you. I wonder what you're doing or how you feel. I wonder if you even spare a glance in my direction. he's an egotistical and self-centered punk she's an awkward and indecisive mess he's decided to hate her she's sworn to despise him and yet... this is my first story! :D this story uses lowercase! i use switching perspectives(i thought that might be kind of fun to read)! some chapters may be very short; that is a creative choice! slightly ambiguous time period(primarily 2000s-ish, but some elements of 90s and 2010s)! the dynamic is more of a "distaste for one another" than an intense enemy relationship (since they barely know each other at the beginning)! i'm open to constructive criticism and suggestions! :) please note that this story is for fun, and i'm just a high schooler, so my writing may not be up to par! if this story goes well, and i manage to complete it, i may turn this into a series, so stay tuned! :D thank you for giving my story a chance! :)

For two hundred years, the last remnants of magical civilization have survived beneath a mountain while the surface remains poisoned by the aftermath of a war fought with spells powerful enough to reshape the earth. Their mission is simple. Cross the wasteland. Assemble the device. And save humanity. But the further they travel into the forgotten world, the more Rosemary uncovers about the civilization that came before, and the terrifying possibility that history has been rewritten by the very people who sent them.
