The short story "she's just a girl" is told in the perspective of an ambitious high school girl Bianca. Bianca loves all things girly whether it's pretty pink dresses or her nails done. Although Bianca loves expressing her femininity, she begins to explores her inner masculinity in 'male' dominating sports. Bianca is heavily ridiculed by many who underestimate her abilities as a girl. This short story demonstrates common gender stereotypes and it's inadequate ripple effect on peoples day to day life.
