This is the essay I wrote for my 2021 English Literature Prose NEA. I decided to read a variety of novels to find which one I would like best in order to write an essay I could be proud of. Some of these books included 'Wuthering Heights' by Emily Bronte, '1984' by George Orwell. In the end, I chose 'Pamela; Or Virtue Rewarded' by Samuel Richardson for my NEA. This was because not only did I find it fascinating to read based on how the main female protagonist was portrayed by a male writer in a patriarchal society where women were under the control/ power of men, but also because I wanted to write about an epistolary old novel. I enjoyed the structure of the text and thought it would be a great piece of literature to focus on the theme of feminism. I have uploaded it here just because I enjoyed reading Pamela, writing this essay, and it was a huge turning point that helped me advance/ improve my literature A-level work :)

Although I love English Literature one does have to keep the passion alive and therefore during my exams I got a couple of ways of making it fun and decided to share with you what I came up with. Sharing is caring right? These are normally in the form of interesting/sarcastic/comedic (in my opinion) chapter/poem summaries.
