The problem isn't that the United States hasn't won an Olympic event in 8 years. The problem is that someone is preventing them from doing so. What do you do when you're sabotaged on an international level? The United States has one solution: Kingston University. Maybe, just maybe, forming a new team of athletes with training in forensics, international law, and espionage will solve the problem. A college specifically for Olympic athletes is a perfect cover- right? Kyle and Elaine Trevail are drafted from a small town on the East Coast, and to them, the beautiful Kingston campus and facilities seem like a paradise. Why, though, must they take law classes? Or learn acrobatics when they're in the riding program? Or memorize the 30 most common poisons? It seems there's more to Kingston than the world knows- and Kyle and Elaine are going to find out just how much.

"Pumpkin," I whispered, leaning my head close to her large horse ear, "Run. Run, Pumpkin, Run." Pumpkin looked at me and I frowned. She knew that command. She should leave, I knew she should leave. Heck, even she knew she should leave. Her eyes were wide and her ears flicked back and forth, a useless attempt to locate the sounds of the nearing soldiers. Both she and I lay on the ground, completely still except for her still twitching ears. I lifted my hand slowly, placing it in between her ears and look her in the eye. "Shh, Pumpkin. It's okay. Run." I try to sooth her and command her to leave at the same time. Although it was only a couple enemy soldiers, I was outnumbered. I was unarmed, alone except for my horse, and in enemy territory, probably being surrounded at this very second. If Pumpkin was going to make it out alive, she needed to go now. Out of the two of us, she was obviously faster, so she would have a better chance of getting away. She was also a bigger target, but she was better rested and less dehydrated that I. It would be better if at least she could survive instead of both of us dying. Obviously. That was obvious, right? Pumpkin didn't think so. ~ THIS BOOK IS DISCONTINUED! I AM RE-WRITING IT AND AM HOPEFULLY GOING TO FINISH IT ELSEWHERE. THE RE-WRITE WILL NOT BE POSTED AT ALL UNTIL LATER.

Then her parents hit her with the information that she's going to the Edwardson Riding Academy, the same school that her trainer went to! It's a huge honor to be one of the 100 students enrolled, and out of the 25 admitted every year, and she knows it. Tessa instantly makes it her mission to be the best of the best there and starts to work towards her goal. However, she's been struggling with her new horse, newer material, and progress is slow. Things aren't going well in preparation for Edwardson, and once she's there, she's going to be going up against riders who have the same or better training and horses. She needs to prove that she can ride, and ride well against those who have worked for years more than her at the school. It cost her parents a fortune to get her in, and she needs to show them that she deserves the gift. But first, she needs to acknowledge the signs and understand that sometimes...the problem isn't with the horse, but the rider. If her pedestal is knocked out from underneath her, would she want to get back into the saddle?
