Another school year, another chance to embrace cold death. Sounds perfect, but what if you fall in love?

❝ Because we work. We shouldn't, but we do. ❞ 10 years after Wednesday saved Nevermore, a bigger problem comes crawling on the doorstep of San Francisco. The more Wednesday and Enid dig into this case, the deeper they realize this grave really is.

❝ Cara mia, I think I've found the love of my life. ❞ Wednesday, a local detective, was put on a six month chase for a homicidal maniac named "Lone Wolf". Catching her curiosity, Wednesday took on this case out of pure enjoyment--Starting a game of tag with the killer. Recent tips assume the killer's next move is at the Rav'n, Nevermore's biggest charity event, but little did Wednesday know, the night might go differently than what she anticipated.

"What are you thinking so hard about?" This jolted Enid from her thoughts, heart racing as if the goth could read her mind. To her knowledge, no, that was not within her scope of powers but the blonde wasn't without doubt that it could very well be a hidden ability. Wiping her weirdly sweaty hands on the cushion she sat upon, she released a small laugh under her breath. "How do you always know when I'm thinking of you?" Basically, Enid is gay and panicking. This story is an AU, where Wednesday wasn't healed by Goody after being stabbed by Joseph Crackstone. ~ *For background context* After helping her win the Poe Cup, Enid had begun to grow an attachment to Wednesday. She had always tried to brush it off, saying it was just a normal friendship attachment feeling, but she knew deep down that it was more than that. Wednesday could feel it too, but would never allow herself to embrace the feeling. The two spent the days leading up to the night of the battle ignoring their feelings towards each-other. Until a near-death experience makes everything come to light.

The story takes place a year after the.. Night of crackstone.. Everyone is back at nevermore. All is well, but enid realized the trauma stuck with her. But thats not the only thing that she realized.. Because she realized that she had growing feelings for.. Enid is a werewolf and she cares for wednesday so much that she loves her, but she never told her, it all started with Ajax, after she had found she hated Ajax she tried romance with someone else, obviously it didnt work out with bruno, so she wanted to try someone else, someone who actually cared for her and went on adventures with her and that person was wednesday...♡ 13+ only
