Maddeline Di Fiore, daughter of divorced parents.
Her father was one of the less important members of the Ferrari Formula 1 team.
One day he took little Maddie with him to work - and that's when the roar of the engine fell in love with her, and she fell in love with it. She felt at home there.
She wanted to become an F1 driver, but two things stood in her way.
The first was money - little Maddie's dad didn't earn enough to support her alone and pay for training.
The second thing, or rather person, was her mother, who tried to fulfill her own unfulfilled dreams through Maddie. She forced her into artistic sports.
At the age of three, she enrolled her in figure skating, rhythmic gymnastics, and ballet.
Unfortunately, she gained most of the parental rights, so Maddie spent only weekends with her beloved dad.
A few months after the divorce, her mother married her business partner, who was also a lawyer.
From that moment on, Maddie became even more of a... project.
Her mother's new husband liked order.
He liked results.
He liked when everything was "up to standard."
And Maddie had to be "up to standard."
She didn't even go to school, so she barely knew what 2+2 was.
She also wasn't allowed to eat more than 600 calories a day - as a five‑year‑old.
At first, she hated the sport. They had to push her onto the ice, literally kicking her.
With time, she noticed she was good at it... and that she had no other choice.
When her father mysteriously disappeared without a word of goodbye, the girl fell into even deeper overtraining.
Luca Venturi, son of the legendary Carlos Venturi, entered F1 as a Ferrari driver.
He should have been happy.
He should have been proud.
He should have felt fulfilled.
But he didn't.
Because wherever he went, he heard:
- "Carlos Venturi's son!"
- "Venturi's successor!"
- "He has his father's talent!"
No one saw him.
Everyone saw a shadow.
Luca loved his father, but he hated that his whole life was a comparison.
