A young leader of an imminent uprising and a cynical daughter of a highly respected French general sub-standardly live their lives in France, 1832. Their paths lead them to an unfortunate night; the night they first met. Amidst grief, anger, and reckoning, can they find common ground for the freedom of their people? Antoinette Barre is a twenty-two year old girl living on the high society scale. She has been living in comfort ever since she was born. Enjolras Apllo is a twenty-two man who grew up rich, but saw what happens to you when your living on the streets. He also is a revolutionary who plans to overthrow the king. And she was a loyalist and who's father works with the King closely. In 1832 Maria Eleanor Elizabeth Capet (Lizzie) moves back to France for she immigrated to Spain when she was a child. She was a distant relative of King Louis XVI. She soon meets the spark that will light the fire that will burn down the monarchy.

Drawn in by his fire and haunted by his ideals, Genevieve is whisked into a world of secret meetings and dangerous convictions. But the closer she gets to Enjolras, the harder he seems to reach. Enjolras lives for the future of France, while Genevieve still struggles to navigate the present. To him, love and connection are distractions, a weakness that a revolution has no time for. For her, they're the only things worth fighting for. She doesn't burn with conviction like he does. She only knows that when he looks at her, it's like she might matter. (Under Rewrite) All Enjolras cared about was his revolution, his Patria. He had no time for women. Even if he did, he could never find one who he deemed worthy for his affection. It seems this Apollo will always remain of stone until the day he dies. That was until a certain woman started working at the Cafe Musain. Stubborn, annoying, and down right infuriating to the red coated revolutionary, Ninette seemed to shake him down to his core. Could his heart of stone be cracking? I do not own any characters or plots created by the writer of Les Miserables or the stage production. This is my own story plot and has my own created characters. I do not own any music in this story. All rights go to the creators and the owners of the youtube channels they appear in.

Élise was born into a decent, middle class family, but with her father's death and her brother drinking and gambling away his small inheritance, she moved to Paris, in hope of finding better prospects. With rents going up and wages going down, she eventually ends up living, and then almost dying on the streets, before being rescued by two young medical students. With an introduction to Les Amis de l'A.B.C., she finds the world opening up before her again, and discovers her place in it. Based primarily on Victor Hugo's novel, with some reference to the musical and the 2012 film. Some parts also inspired by Henry Mayhew's London Labour and the London Poor. I will confess myself to be more of a historian than an author, and as such, this book is primarily an attempt to bring some history into a retelling of the aspect of Les Miserables that seems to have captured so many people's imaginations - that is to say, the June Rebellion of 1832 and the lead up to it. {Enjolras x OC}
