Wendy and Michael had always been best friends. Two of a kind, two peas in a pod; the occasional red & blue duo. However, Wendy had seen how Michael always represses himself at work, and the effects when his stress shows are...strange. She doesn't question it though, he's her friend, and a friend is a friend. But when the same changes happen to Wendy and another close friend too? Wendy will want answers. But then again, maybe being an insect or an arachnid has its perks...

Coopersdale is a country that has been seeing decreases in crime rates ever since the appearance of a human phenomenon. This human, a woman, goes by the name Kwondo Matsuya, and with her super strength and endurance is able to pound down majority of criminal incidents that take place in Coopersdale. However, another super appears with opposing motives, preaching words that hold mystery and wielding enough power to send Matsuya out of commission. This leaves the citizens of Coopersdale in shock, worry and curiosity. "What will we do without Matsuya?" "Who will protect us now?" "Where are these superpowers coming from?" All of these questions will be answered with a bug-loving, special, introverted orphan who goes by the name of Nadine.

Calyptratrichosis Encephalopathy, or more commonly known as Mothrot, is a moth-borne viral infection - a virus that, in less than two weeks, turns infectees into something akin to zombies - that originated in the Ural Mountains, Russia. In April of 2008, a group of lepidopterists - entomologists specialising in the study of butterflies and moths - were on a research-based trip in the Southern Ural Forests. Here, they came across, and inadvertantly disturbed, an undiscovered species of moth from the genus Calyptra, a genus of moths commonly referred to as "vampire moths" due to their habit of consuming the blood of vertebrae, which includes humans, in a similar fashion to mosquitoes. This species of moth - later named Calyptra putres, derived from the Latin word putresco, which refers to the concept of decay or putrefaction, in reference to what eventually happens to those infected with Mothrot - quickly introduced calyptratrichosis encephalopathy to the country and sent it into a pandemic nation-wide. While the country was almost immediately closed off from the rest of the world, and trade with neighbours and overseas country alike was terminated, it was by that time too late. Arguably, it was also a futile point of action; within just a few weeks, Russia's neighbouring countries had begun reporting possible sightings of calyptra putres, and within only a couple of months, the countries had begun to report confirmed cases of calyptratrichosis encephalopathy. The virus hit Eurasian countries fast, and it hit them hard. Eventually, Mothrot had found its way off the continent and the virus had become worldwide. * * * * Word Count: 1,306 * * * * I'll make a proper blurb/description at a later point. I want to work on the book itself first though.
