Due to him losing his speed, Barry has been obsessive with looking for other alternatives to get his speed back. The one thing he never thought of was the negative speedforce. Even though he hates Eobard Thawne, he turns to him, wanting to know how to get his speed back with the negative speedforce. But it will come at a heavy price. A price that Barry is willing to pay. But, what he didn't account for and what he doesn't realise is that the effects of the negative speedforce changes a person.

In this universe Team Flash was able to create Gideon for them. They implemented it in Barry's suit and even created a small device that stored the AI aswell. The artificial intelligence proved to be really useful. It suggested Barry to go back in time to get help from Eobard Thawne. With this knowledge he gained from his old enemy, they created their own tachyon device and now Barry was ready to test his new tool.

Flash is the fastest human alive... till he isnt anymore. Everyone knows that Barry Allen is supposed to die during the Crisis but if he does what happens to the future? What about his rival? Revolves around Barry and Reverse Flash. Set during Crisis on Infinite Earths. Three-shot.

This is my take as well as my preferred version of the origins of Eobard Thawne/Professor Zoom. I've taken several different adaptations of his backstory throughout the history of DC comic reboots, and I've woven my favorite bits into a coherent storyline, as well as making some changes/additions of my own.
