An arranged marriage to the Prince of Rohan seems to be the solution to everyone's problems. But around the Golden Hall, rumour has it that the future Queen might have fallen for her betrothed's cousin, Éomer. The story begins like 1 year before the events of "Lord of the Rings", then follows the original storyline. The events in this story take place beside the War of the Rings and in its aftermath. Millenia ago the handmaiden Ilmarë brought a gift to the world of men and foretold of its heiress. And of great need among all races after the darkest of times. Shipwrecked on a small island, Éomer vows protection for a stranger. Neither speaks the other's language. When a dark army invades, they flee to the safety of his principality in Aldburg. But enemies hunt them. Unraveling why sends them on a journey to the southlands, to Gondor, to Elven domains, and to the ravaged northern country.

Imagine yourself in a world with hobbits, men, elves, and maiar discovering new friendships, romances, and adventures. Join your favorite characters in new scenarios every chapter. As the Fellowship breaks apart, a shadow seems to arise in their presence. Someone, or something, keeps following them as Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli track the Uruk Hai who took their friends. Even with his eyesight, Legolas can not tell if the shadow is real or a part of the looming war. Deep in Rohan, a woman questions her heritage, then turns it into her greatest asset. With the companionship of Eomer and the other Rohirrim, she sets out on what she initially thought was an exile until she stumbled upon a group tracking their latest victims. She doesn't want to help them because they are strangers, and she's seen what happened to Rohan. But something in her blood encourages her to act as a guide. At least for the time being. I tend to steer away from canon characters and almost every single one from Lord of the Rings makes at least an appearance here. Strong bonds of friendship, magic and no small amount of courage is needed for this quest. Are you up for it? "When will you tell her, Gandalf? That her spirit is connected with the ring?" Frodo asked the grey wizard. Gandalf's silver beard twitched, "Not at this moment, my young hobbit. Not until I can find a way to separate her conscious from Sauron's grasp... Or until it becomes too late to reverse the process..." He sighed at the coming thoughts, "Let us hope it's not the later, or she will perish with the ring... or worse... Become one with Sauron himself!"
