Not everyone could understand the Force, and some Jedi couldn't even feel the Force the way she did; the Force was always surrounding her, sometimes suffocating her other times comforting her. Master Yoda had taught her how to lessen the effects, how to 'keep it at an arms distance', but she could never fully master the skill; a hard truth to accept as it caused her to form attachments to those she was close to, the closet bond with her Master. This is the end scene of episode 3 after Doumeki and Watanuki investigate the school. Just what I thought might be going through Doumeki's head. I rewatched this episode and forgot that Yuuko made Watanuki say to Doumeki that "Watanuki thinks about you all the time and said he would die without you." Just lost my friggin mind.
