When she was 5. her father discovered she was gifted with her mother's animal and he kept her safe from the rest of the world to protect her. Alyndra has never left the comforts of her home until the day a wizard discovered her and changed her life in more ways than one with a quest to reclaim an ancient homeland that was taken over by the very beast her kind feared.

That day, if he had truly felt no pity for the little girl, he would have told his elves to send her away. Give her up to the closest civilization they could find. Not bothering to concern himself with the problems of a mortal child. But that day in particular, King Thranduil did in fact feel it. Pity for the loss the child had endured and survived. And so, the King then made his decision. He did not order his elves to send the child away. Instead, ordering that she would remain in halls of Mirkwood. In this story we follow Lothani on her unexpected journey. Lothani is a young woman from Lake Town and younger sister of Bard the Bowman.

He returns later with a company of dwarves on a quest to reclaim a lost homeland. They asked Bilbo to join them, and help them, but he refuses. So Saria volunteers to go in his place. Though many of the dwarves are skeptical, it becomes obvious very quickly that she is more than capable of taking care of herself. As the quest continues, Saria proves herself a true asset several times over, she also grows very close to a certain blond Dwarf prince, but unfortunately they simply do not have the option of a fairy-tale love story. The road they walk is a perilous one, they balance on the edge of a knife. One wrong move will mean death for the entire company. When they find themselves back in Erebor, his uncle's dragon sickness will force them to make impossible choices; and there is a war brewing. Will they be able to bring everyone together and save their people? Or will it cost them everything? Including each other?

After learning of a life-changing secret, a young Dwarf Prince leaves the possibility for power and leadership to understand who he truly is. Meanwhile, Erebor undergoes a change in leadership and the Dwarves face an uncertain future. *Some of the characters have been made up and do not exist in Tolkien's works *Some events and lore may be inaccurate in order to accommodate to my plot, but I will try to be accurate when I deem it necessary

Maora was a female dwarf who had extraordinary talents. When she was a child, she had been blessed by the Lady Galadriel herself. The Elf Queen gave her four distinct abilities; abilities that none in Middle-Earth possessed. Arían is a young girl, who's travelling with Bilbo, Thorin and his company. She grew up with elves, although she's human. She's a good fighter and knows how to get along in the wilderness. But Arían is still searching for her own destiny, which she'll find on her long journey to the lonely mountain.

Thorin Oakenshield hated elves. But she was something different. She was his only exception.
