He would mostly be called as the animals mother, seeing as most would behave if he was taking care of them. But when an emergency rang, he went with the others to again save an animal or yet dolphin as he heard. By the time they arrived, Eren was the first to get out and run to the shore. Only to stop in place as he sees a boy at maybe the same age as him, tend to the dolphin.
