Eric put his hands on my shoulders and let them glide down my arms until they met at my hands. Eric then used his index finger on his right hand to lift my chin to look at him. His eyes were deep and intense. Instead of their usual piercing gray-green, they were a dark shade of gray, almost black.  His other hand tucked a strand of hair behind my ear then continued to trace a slow line down the side of my face and chin, coming to my top lip then sliding down, lingering on my bottom lip before resting on my hip. "Eric." My voice was barely a whisper as my heart thundered in my chest. "I think I figured out why I act the way I do around you..."
