Meet Alan Humphries. The quiet, shy, nerd of Shinigami High School. Strait A's on everything. The one everyone picks on. Meet Eric Slingby. A teenage dirtbag who can't do anything right. Constantly in detention for causing trouble. Barley scrapping by in class. When Eric's and Alan's path cross there will be love, hate, pain, joy, and one hell of a surprise for both. Is there any possible way to make a love work when both parties are form total opposite worlds?

Eric Slingby left Scotland to make a name for himself. He didn't expect to end up working at a company that's an odd mix of crime investigation and the consequent handling of deceased victims. He really didn't expect to befriend a flamboyant redhead with a flair for the dramatics and murder, a smart ass intern who flirts with everything that moves, an uptight manager, said manager's German doppelgänger, a clumsy photographer, an antisocial pathologist and the creepy company owner. He really really didn't expect to be plunked in the middle of a gruesome murder mystery with said friends. And he really really really didn't expect to fall in love with Alan Humphries, the kind, brutally intelligent young man in the office next to his, who may have less time left than anyone thinks. Navigating life is hard, but now Eric has to handle a new country, a new job, new friends, a deadly mystery and his own sexuality. Good thing his life doesn't depend on it. Hopefully...

Eric has worked very hard over his years of being a reaper. He has had many ups and downs, such as his much loved Alan passing away. He toughed it all out, no matter how much it hurt. The thought of him meeting Alan in the afterlife being the only thing keeping him going. And today is the day he is released from his work as a shinigami. He finally gets to move on. He is finally allowed his death. -this is a one shot so I don't believe I will update it past the first chapter-
