Eridu Stories

This is an ancient tale of friendship and betrayal. The mythical ancient Sumerian king, Etana, enters into the tale as an arbiter between the enemies as well as a character with his own motives and goals. Etana is searching for a medicinal herb for his wife in order to allow her to have children. This is a modern retelling taken from book 3 of the Novels of Ancient Sumeria, The Prince and the Prophet, by Jesse Hudson

Koleda had barely taken her first steps into the construction site (heck, she'd barely even clocked in!) when she was nearly blasted right back out the front gates by a gnarly explosion. As the some of the smoke lifted, Koleda's eye bulged. "What the-! My construction site! My beautiful construction site! What happened to it!" (Comedy, chaos)
