While visiting your father's workplace in 19th century France, you find yourself having to rush inside in of the Opera Populaire during a stormy night, for... obvious reasons. And that seemed fine. After all- aside from the sleeping ballerinas and a few other people, there wasn't supposed to be anyone around. Much less, walking around... However, that doesn't seem to be the case. You are quick to be whisked away by a masked stranger. After he fixes you up and allows you to stay the night with him, a powerful friendship begins to spark between the two of you, and you soon become an apprentice to the ever-so-famous opera ghost. You seem to know more about the events in the opera house than anyone else does- Christine Daaé, Joseph Buquet, Meg Giry, and even her own mother. You seem to hold as much knowledge as the man who brought you there. All seems well for a while. The operas, parties, drinking, and love triangles continue on as if nothing happened... That is, until you realize that you're in love with that man clad in black. *** Note: This story begins at around the same time that the musical does - when managers André and Firmin first take charge of the opera house. I tried to stay true to most of the story line, but there will be a few minor changes.

Erik has lived his life in isolation and despair. Hiding under the guise of a ghost, with a mask hiding his deepest insecurities and terrors he desires the talent and affection of Christine Daae. He had no reason to take interest in Louise. Until she discovers he is her sister's tutor, and becomes a difficult obstacle in his plans. Louise and Erik at first see each other as enemies, but soon both begin to peel back one another's layers. Louise realizes just how much pain Erik carries, and Erik realizes he's not the only one in this opera house behind a mask. Louise proves to be wise beyond her years, yet those around her push her away whenever she tries to prevent them from ending up in places they'll regret. When all is said and done, what will Louise be left to deal with when the boom falls on the opera house, and the phantom within?

In 1870, the Opera Populairé burned down because of the Phantom. Christine Daae left him and he stayed underneath it in misery. Now the year is 2014 and he still lives there. It's been repaired since the fire but he hasn't left it. The owners are holding auditions for a new leading soprano and he will be attending. He sees one of the girls stand out from the rest of them. She looks just like Christine did when she was sixteen. He decides he must have her. Not knowing what year or generation it is he decides to use one of his old tricks. On the night of Don Juan Triumphant, a fatal twist of events leaves Christine the prisoner of The Phantom of the Opera once again. Without the Viscount De Chagny to fight to save her, she must learn to accept a new life with Erik by her side.
