What starts out as a normal day for Erin Lindsay and her boyfriend Jay Halstead quickly turns into a nightmare when Erin gets shot.

When a seemingly simple case turns sideways and the team finds a teenage girl strapped to an operating table in a dingy basement, dark secrets begin to unravel about the suspects and the girl they kept locked away for so many years. ********* I cling onto the phone, my hands shaking so violently i struggle to hold it close enough to my ear so I can hear him. "Where is she?" I breathe out, anger, frustration and exhaustion clearly audible in my voice. A deep throaty chuckle rises from the phone and I clench my hand into a fist, wanting so bad just to hit him. "Oh, if only it were that easy," responds a husky voice and I run a hand through my hair, pacing around the room and trying to stay calm. I take a deep breath and try to stuff my emotions back down, as they seem to be rising in my throat. My breaths hitch and I feel the tears well up in my eyes for the millionth time in the last few weeks. "I want her back you bastard, where is she!" I yell, the words come out louder and harsher than I intended but at this point I don't care. "What do you want, I'll do anything, I'll get you whatever you want, just give her back." "Hm," I feel as if I can practically feel him smirking, his arrogance and maliciousness is so clear, even in his voice. "That's a tricky one detective, because you see, I don't know how much of a hold I have on you yet. So before I answer your question, I have a question of my own." I'm taken aback by his response and shake my head. "I'm not playing games! You think this is-" "How willing are you, detective Lindsay?" He interrupts, and I look down in confusion. "What?-" "What are you prepared to do? You said it yourself you'll do anything to get the little brat back and I'm just wondering how far I can bend you till you break. So my question for you, Miss Erin Lindsay is the following. How far are you willing to go?" He pauses, sucking in a long breath. "Tell me, what's she worth to you?"

RELIVE Chicago PD in writing from a different perspective! Hiiii! I have never written anything, but I have soooo many ideas I decided to give fan fiction writing a try. So this story is basically me rewriting Chicago PD from the beginning from the point of view of a character I have created and adjusting some things to how I would've liked to see them written. I am not too sure where I am going with this quite yet as if you have watched the series you may already know what happens next, but I hope some people can enjoy reading this story. I am a big burzek fan; I am sure you will figure that out quickly, so I might write about them more than the rest; but upstead sure as hell is growing on me! Of course, this is based on Chicago PD starting from season 1 and thru present (season 8) (SPOILER WARNING!) I don't plan to go too in depth with the show's cases, but all cases, storylines, and characters with the exception of Alexa Rivera and her storylines belong to NBC; Wolf Entertainment, respectively and all credit goes to them. Still undecisive of the name, so it might change... again. Sorry! Trying to post 1-2 times per week.

This is about Jay Halstead and Erin Lindsay reuniting for the first time since they left Chicago

LINSTEAD: During one of Erin's early therapy sessions with Dr. Beckman, a case from her past finally comes up. And for the first time, Erin admits she had a partner. For the first time, she says his name out loud.

This is the story where Hailey Halstead and Adam Ruzek became friends when they where little But when they where young adults ages 18 they really haven't been talking too each other since their graduation of 9th grade was over... Do you think that they'll meet up in the same district??? oh and Hailey Halstead is not Jay Halstead's wife she is his sister and Will Halsteads sister too Just encase if you where wondering.....

Erin Lindsay, She's a detective, Lindsay had a pretty rough childhood, always getting into trouble and was hooked on substances, until Hank took her under his wing. She became his little girl, He's very overprotective of her, doesn't want anything to happen to her. Erin left Chicago, and took a job with the FBI in New York City. Erin hasn't really had any contact with anyone from her old team except for Hank, who's a constant presence in her life. Erin becomes a mother to a young girl that she met, the two of them are incredibly happy, Erin is the best mom to her girl. Jay, she hadn't seen him in years, honestly since she left Chicago, and one night there he stands on her doorstep proclaiming his love for her leaving her speechless. Lindsay transferred out of the FBI and into the Special Victims Unit ran by a good friend detective Olivia Benson.

LINSTEAD: He had no idea how much he'd miss her. Didn't expect the silence to feel this loud. Or the distance to feel this wrong.

Jay Halstead and Erin Lindsay have been married for almost a year. Living and working in Chicago, they are always busy working cases. In addition to partners Jay and Erin, the Intelligence Unit consists of Hank Voight, Alvin Olinsky, Kim Burgess, Adam Ruzec, Kevin Atwater, Greg "Mouse" Gerwitz, and Antonio Dawson. Trudy Platt also has an important role at the district. The unit is a family. They love each other, protect each other, and are always there for each other. *I do not own the rights to these characters, names, or pictures.
