A Re-write of what happens when Can saves Sanems bandana in the fire.

It's been a year since Can decided to leave Istanbul, leaving things shattered into a million pieces just as his heart was. A year in which Sanem had been left with a broken soul. Her Albatros leaving her behind.

Can is devistated at what he learns life has been like for Sanem in his absence. He begins his quest to make amends protect her, to win back the heart of his love, his soul mate, his flame. He cannot deny the pull of their soul mates bringing them back together along with the magic of the moonstone. This is not a typical love story but an epic one, created in the stars.

Can woke with no memory of the past two years. He has completely forgotten Sanem and their love. Why has he forgotten everything from the moment he met Sanem? Why the past two years and the most important person in his heart and mind, how does that make any sense? Can is drifting in a coma, is he fighting to stay asleep or is he fighting to wake up, what is behind this mysterious case of amnesia? Let's follow Can inside his coma and see what is lurking there.

This my *AU* version of Can and Sanem's story. It might not stay true to the show but will definitely have some story themes of EK. I love how in earlier episodes Sanem was like a fish out of water and was trying to find her place. And Can was the same way, even though outwardly he looked in control. I hope to capture some of that feel through this story. I am really excited for the writer change in the show and I cannot wait for episode 40 and beyond. I truly hope the new direction the show is going will only make it better. It's also bringing back my enthusiasm to write stories. Enjoy

I write to you, Can, knowing you will never read this. You're with another and I will always want that happiness for you. I write this for myself over everything. I think mostly, I need to come to terms with what I've lost. I still love you Can, I will always love you. And I understand that this love is unrequited. Where you are now in the arms of another, I am left with nothing. I write this because all that matters to me is that you got what you always wanted, what you needed, what I couldn't give you. Hope. - I never thought I'd write something like this, like a diary entry kind of thing. But unpopular opinion, I know, I do like Polen's character. There were points that she was mean and I didn't like her that much before but I think there was more to her than met the eye. I think behind some of the comments and the ways she has acted, she could be quite complex. I mean she's had to deal with the disinterest of her long term partner which has led to a breakup, I wouldn't be too happy to be honest if I was in her shoes. I just had this random idea in my head while I was studying yesterday after finishing my chapter for Set You Free. I feel like Polen is so overlooked or disliked in the EK community and I wanted to give her the limelight for a bit. Dunno whether you'll like, but here's a short one!
