She felt vacant, as if suspended in diving gear at one of those thermal vents on the bottom of a dark sea where they find weird glowing things. That same feeling that swarmed over her as a girl of six when her mother and father fought so much. . . ." The cover and the opening were way different from what's out there on the covers when you scroll down on an Amazon search. It was marvelous to discover a gold mine of new reading. All the rest of T.D. Kennedy's stories grabbed me. . . no, I'm not going to ruin the surprise for you; it will blow you away. This writer does jump off the page with all his sizzling short stories. You won't get bored and slam your Kindle down.
