The school seems ok, but what does Charlotte Smith know of magic? Nothing. The students, oddly enough, accept her as one of their own, but what does that mean? She doesn't know. Charlotte somehow makes friends for the first time ever, but what does that even mean? A lot, apparently. Is the food great? Yes, it's amazing, but that's not the point! The point is that this kid is stuck in another world with no way out! If her Mom somehow figures out what's going on, there's going to be a lot of explaining to do! And if she doesn't, how stressed will she be? I mean, honestly, who wants their mother to be scared about their safety while they're completely safe? Who wants to scare their mother while they make friends and form a found-family? And, above all else, how does one learn magic when discipline, motivation, and perseverance are their only useful skills? What were all those hours of studying for if she never gets to use the skills she learned?
